I wrote an article in Capitalism Magazine on November 20, 2010 on the chosen course of appeasement that the Philippine president Noynoy Aquino has chosen. As of that writing Pres. Aquino has consistently upped the appeasement, and as such, the results are horrors that could've been avoided.

On December 15, 2010, the communist insurgency, the New People's Army, massacred 10 soldiers and a 9 year old boy. The commanding officer told the Agence France-Presse, that "They took advantage of the announcement of the ceasefire. The soldiers were pulling out of the area and they were treacherously ambushed."

10 soldiers and a little boy butchered in cold blood, ambushed, unprepared because they were in preparation for a supposed ceasefire championed by Pres. Aquino. The road to this moment was caused by a deep evilness in the policies of Pres. Aquino's government. His reaction however, is an evil I find hard to comprehend. The official government statement regarding the massacre states:

"The Philippine government would like to emphasize that in spite of this incident… we remain steadfast in our commitment to honor the agreed upon suspension of military operations."

An incredible amount of expletives are conjured up in my mind as I read that. The Aquino government is breaking records in immorality and appeasement. The Aquino government has without shame shown the world that his regime has absolutely no commitment to justice. Let me repeat this, 10 soldiers and a little boy were slaughtered in cold blood and Pres. Aquino's government has stated that they will not pursue the the people who committed the atrocity. This is Aquino's road to "peace."

In the perverse, cowardly mind of Pres. Aquino, peace with the communists it seems, can only be achieved by letting them kill as many citizens and soldiers of his country as they want. What other result could he have possibly gotten from his appeasement but this massacre? Did he expect good will from a group of people who've consistently bombed, kidnapped and killed innocent Filipinos for decades? He extended his hand to murderers and thieves, and expected honor from them?

This slaughter, the deaths of 10 soldiers and a little boy, is on his hands. These are the fruits of Pres. Aquino's appeasement.
